ParaFed Cantebury provides schools and organisations the opportunity to experience wheelchair skills, along with sports such as wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby.
We have a trailer and 12 sports wheelchairs that groups can hire to provide their students with an amazing experience that they will likely remember for years to come.
Depending on our staff availability (we are only a small team) we might be able to attend and deliver some sessions in-person.
We also have a selection of other adaptive sports equipment, such as boccia balls, boccia ramps, and goalballs, depending on what the groups requirements are.

- Basketballs or Volleyballs
- Bibs
- Basketball Hoops
Important things to note:
- Sports wheelchairs require a hard surface such as a gym court or school hall (indoor venues are the preferred option).
- Trailer hire will require your group to pick up / return from our office located at 108 Sawyers Arms Road, Papanui, Christchurch between office hours.
- The trailer and / or sports wheelchairs Health & Safety Forms must be read and signed before each hire.
Costs
In most situations there will be a cost to hire the wheelchairs, trailers, equipment, or for our staff's time. This is to enable to continue the maintance and repairs of the equipment.
Our team will confirm the cost before confirming any hire.
