New Zealand has a proud history of producing some amazing rowers and we are consistently ranked one of the top rowing nations in the world. While New Zealand are World and Olympic champions at both flat water and now coastal rowing, one area that has not received much attention is Para rowing. New Zealand has had one athlete attend the Paralympics and athletes have attended various World Championships, but New Zealand has never received the interest and momentum needed to keep a viable Para rowing programme alive
Rowing NZ would like to change that. Over the winter, they have recruited clubs and coaches around NZ with an interest in coaching and providing for Para athletes.
More information on Para rowing can be found by clicking here.
If you are keen to give Para rowing a go simply complete the Expression of Interest form and Rowing NZ will put, you in touch with your nearest club.
